With the Atomstack Maker S30 A30 X30 Pro, you get even more accessories in the package. You also get a rotating drum and a simple machine riser, which will come in handy when working with rotary tools. You also get a spare lens, which is great! The machine also comes with a small honeycomb and a fairly thick steel plate to protect your workbench.
With this machine you also get rotating drums and machine riser blocks. It also supports engraving on longer objects such as bottles. It also comes with two support rollers for using the rotary system as feed rollers for long boards, but I think it would be very difficult to use that way.
Honeycomb has retaining clips that can be used to straighten warped boards for engraving. But a big disadvantage of this system is that you need to be careful not to hit them with the laser head after the engraving is complete and the laser head returns to its original position. You can also use some whiteboard magnets to hold the material in place, but they are very fragile. I usually use strong neodymium magnets that I buy online, they work better and there is no danger of the laser head hitting them.
The laser module is relatively large and has a removable hood, which is good.
The laser module is focused via a simple spacer. It can be used with or without the hood mounted on the module. Since the tightening screw is easily accessible, focusing can be accomplished quickly and easily.
The Atomstack S30 Pro has a very nifty air assist pump with a speed controller which is very useful. But the air-assist pump doesn't offer automatic software control like all the other machines in this test.
The air auxiliary tube is beautiful and flexible, and is not easily blocked when bent. The laser module has integrated air auxiliary channels for a cleaner appearance.
The module features an ingenious air-assisted design and dual nozzle system. The inner nozzle blows out the air pumped by the air auxiliary pump, and the outer nozzle collects the air blown by the module cooling fan and concentrates it around the inner nozzle. This prevents smoke from entering the internal nozzle and fouling the lens when the air assist system is not in use (when engraving). This laser also comes with interchangeable lenses, which is great.
Like all previous versions of Atomstack, this version also features the same offline touchscreen controller. You can export g-code from Lightburn or LaserGRBL and run it from an SD card without using a computer. Using the controller, you can perform basic tasks such as framing and positioning, as well as adjust sculpting parameters in real time. It will come in handy if you often sculpt the same design.
